Considered the most primitive extant lineage of Lepidoptera, the only moth to have chewing mouthparts rather than a proboscis. They feed, often in large numbers, on the pollen of flowers.
The only moth we have seen here in this family, Tasmantrix, was within the spadix of a flower on Alocasia brisbanensis.
