Endoxyla lituratus occurs in all Australian states and territories except Northern Territory. We’ve seen this moth in October.
Larval Foodplant
The caterpillar bores into the trunks and branches of various species of wattle MIMOCACEA: Acacia sp.
Pupation occurs in these bores and when the moth hatches the empty pupal case is left protruding from the hole.
