Aenetus ramsayi Swift Ghost Moth
This moth is found in Queensland and New South Wales. We have seen this moth in February.

Larval foodplants
The larvae of Aenetus ramsayi are borers in stems of various saplings. They feed internally in several species here on our property at Tallowwood Ridge. The entrance to their tunnel is usually within a metre of the ground. Their known food-plants which we have growing here are
Diploglottis australis Australian Tamarind (SAPINDACEAE), Syzygium smithii (Lilly Pilly)(MYRTACEAE) Alectryon tomentosus (SAPINDACEAE). Diploglottis australis and Syzygium smithii are also indigenous to the areas of rainforest immediately surrounding our property.
