Phyllodes imperialis ssp. smithersi

Phyllodes imperialis ssp. smithersi Southern Pink Underwing Moth

Phyllodes imperialis is found in southern Queensland and northern New South Wales. A different subspecies ssp. meyricki is found in northern Queensland. This moth has only come to our moth light once in January. Its normal habitat is down in the valley where its foodplant grows. Unfortunately, it would not display its beautiful pink hindwings for us.
