Amerila crokeri, or Croker’s frother, is so called because, when disturbed, it exudes frothy yellow fluid from glands besides the eyes. It is found in Western Australia, Northern Territory, Queensland and New South Wales. We have seen it at Tallowwood Ridge from November to May. When threatened this moth is able to exude yellow froth-like fluid from glands below its eyes.
