Eudocima phalonia, the Fruit Piercing Moth, is found in Australia in Western Australia, Northern Territory, Queensland, New South Wales and Lord Howe Island. It is also found in many other Asian countries. We have seen the moth between November and March.

Larval foodplant
The caterpillars feed on various plants in the MENISPERMACEAE family. We have found them in Bellingen feeding on the vine Carronia multisepalea, Argyrodendron trifolialatum, Argyrodendron trifoliolatum and Neolitsea dealbata.
