Gnathothlibus eras White-brow Hawk Moth

This species occurs in northern Western Australia and Northern Territory, Queensland and New South Wales. We’ve seen it at Claire Cottage from October to April.

The larva feeds on a variety of plants in the VITACEAE family. Here we have found a larva only once on Cayratia clematidea Native Grape. Other food plants that grow in this area are Cissus antarctica, C. oblonga, and DILLENIACEA Hibbertia scandens Climbing Guinea Flower.
