Nyctemera amicus, the Senecio or Magpie Moth, is found in all states of Australia. We have seen this moth from December to May.
Larval Foodplants
We have found it feeding on the weeds Fireweed Senecio madagascariensis and Thickhead Crassocephalum crepidioides (ASTERACEAE).
