Ochrogaster lunifer Processionary caterpillar
Ochrogaster lunifer is found all over Australia, except for Tasmania. We have seen the larvae in October and the adult moth in November.
Larval foodplants
Various species of Acacia – at Tallowwood Ridge they were on A. melanoxylon. They are also said to feed on species of Senna, Eucalyptus, Grevillea and Acer.
