This is an undescribed species of Paraterpena. Paraterpena harrisoni, the only other species in this genus lacks the black spots, evident in these moths, along the forewing margin. It occurs in southern Queensland, New South Wales, ACT and Victoria. We have seen this moth in September, October and May.
