Parotis marginata

Parotis marginata Hampson, 1893

Found in the north and east of Australia, we have seen this common moth from October to May. The male moths have a brown coremata.

Larval foodplant

The larvae live in a shelter created from leaves curled or joined with silk. We have found it eating Tabernaemontana pandacaqui Banana Bush. It is also said to feed on Gardenia jasminoides and Alstonia scholaris.
