Tipanaea patulella
These tiny moths are found in Queensland, New South Wales, ACT, Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania. We see them during the day over the summer months sitting on the stems of the Common Rush, Juncus usitatus.

Larval foodplant
The caterpillars are said to bore into the stems of rushes. We see the moths on JUNCACEAE: Common Rush Juncus usitatus. They also feed on J. pauciflorus.
