Tipanaea patulella

These tiny moths are found over much of Australia. We see them during the day over the summer months sitting on the stems of the Common Rush, J. usitatus.

Larval foodplant

The caterpillars are said to bore into the stems of rushes. We see the moths on the Common Rush J. usitatus. They also feed on J. pauciflorus.
